That's because Skyrim's clothing and armour designs are intricate and overtly complicated. Seriously. What's Stormcloak armour supposed to be? Chainmail, leather, and then that blue thing that defies gravity and physics. Don't get me wrong, I support the Stormcloaks, I just find their armour to be nonsensical (like many, if not all of the armours. Ebony mail's design makes the most sense).
Your cosplay is cleaner than the games, I actually like seeing this armor with less mud and grime on it. The colors are bright and bold they work very well to catch your attention. The attention to detail was well planned and executed. Now all you need to do is papercraft a helmet and slap some resin on that, sand and paint. Voila! You have the complete outfit.
Oh man. Hard to say. It was on and off for about 7 months. The outfit itself was probably around 60 or 70 hours, but I wanna say at least 100 hours for the shield, probably more, and maybe 40-50 hours for the axe. The amulets were a few hours each.
This Skyrim cosplay is one of the best I've ever seen. I love all of it. The Talos necklace, the armor, the shield. Even little details like the warpaint and the choice of background make this cosplay stand out. Must have taken ages to get all the right materials and get everything finished. But the result is great!
